Born in San Diego (California), on April the 8th 1973, Emma Caulfield, despite her young age, has had some remarkable roles in several tv-shows and soap-operas (including “General Hospital”). Emma started studying acting when she was a teenager, and her great passion still remains the theatre. After having had guest-star roles on series like “Weird Science” and “Renegade” (with Lorenzo Lamas), a great opportunity in the world of show-biz arrived. She was offered the recurring role of Susan Keats on “Beverly Hills 90210” (as Brandon's love interest). Emma’s experience on “Beverly Hills 90210” lasted two years, during seasons 1995 and 1996.

The role that Emma remembers with most pleasure, is nurse Penny Brady on “Saved by the Bell: The College Years” (1993). She still considers it a great professional experience and in fact, saw acting in front of a live studio audience like acting in a theatre, she loved it.

The character that has made Emma famous worldwide however, is that of Anya Emerson, the ex-vengeance demon, the patron saint of scorned women, on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Emma made her debut as Anya in 1998, during the third season. Although 'Anya' was only supposed to be a one or two episode character, the writers and fans loved her so much, she became a recurring character, and eventually a main character.

Despite her huge success, Emma doesn’t want to remain in the world of show-biz forever, and hasn’t based her whole life on acting. In fact, she has a degree in psychology, and may consider to becoming a shrink, once she's had enough of Hollywood.
